Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Jose, CA)

Nova Vista Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around San Jose. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
