Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Jose, CA)

Fernwood Ivory Facilities is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for cleaning schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 941 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for cleaning schedules and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer sites.
