Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Diego, CA)

Westbrook Yarrow Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in San Diego, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
