Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Diego, CA)

Redstone Quarry Freight Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
