Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Antonio, TX)

Amberfield Sparrow Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of San Antonio. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
