Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Sacramento, CA)

Bright Forge Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 336 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
