Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Rochester, NY)

Redstone Granite Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Rochester plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 477 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
