Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Bridge Transit Planning and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
