Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Rivermark Ashton Foods Group is a Des Moines food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for allergen controls and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
