Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Harborlight Quarry Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Baltimore region, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 141 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for harvest schedules and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with seasonal crews. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
