Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Bright West Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Buffalo working with agencies and riders, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Track performance measures for survey data and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
