Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Stonegate Maple Manufacturing Group manufactures parts and assemblies at its Portland plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
