Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Bright Lakeside Freight Partners moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Seattle, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
