Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Redstone Union Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Buffalo. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 227 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for allergen controls and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
