Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Cedar Wren Freight Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
