Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Summit Wren Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Oakland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for allergen controls and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
