Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Amberfield Basin Inspection Services is an inspection company in Portland with field technicians and lab staff. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 54 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for certifications and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
