Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Silverline Birch Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Phoenix, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
