Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Sparrow Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
