Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Fernwood Quill Farms is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for grower contracts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for grower contracts and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
