Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Redstone Vista Manufacturing Group manufactures parts and assemblies at its Birmingham plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
