Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Bright Ember Manufacturing Partners is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
