Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Hollow Environmental Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
