Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Ironwood Harbor Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Pittsburgh. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
