Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Union Foods and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
