Operations Manager - throughput and quality (remote)

Summit Wilder Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Houston region, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 27 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for safety records and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with permits. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
