Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Providence, RI)

Silverline Fern Environmental Services Group collects and processes waste and recycling around Providence, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
