Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Portland, OR)

Bright Nest Manufacturing makes precision components in Portland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
