Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Pittsburgh, PA)

Bright Harbor Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Pittsburgh, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
