Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Northwind Birch Transit Planning and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
