Operations Manager - throughput and quality (New Orleans, LA)

Bright Umber Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around New Orleans, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 270 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Track performance measures for equipment calibration and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with client sites. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
