Operations Manager - throughput and quality (New Orleans, LA)

Bright Umber Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around New Orleans, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 750 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for scheduling and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with client sites. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
