Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Milwaukee, WI)

Summit Fern Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Milwaukee, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
