Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Louisville, KY)

Fernwood Birch Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Louisville, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
