Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Louisville, KY)

Fernwood Lakeside Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Louisville, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
