Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Knoxville, TN)

Fernwood Beacon Manufacturing makes precision components in Knoxville, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 897 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
