Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Indianapolis, IN)

Northwind Mill Inspection Services is an inspection company in Indianapolis with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for field inspections and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
