Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Indianapolis, IN)

Rivermark Fern Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Indianapolis design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
