Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit Junction Water Authority is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on throughput and quality for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
