Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Fresno, CA)

Amberfield Manufacturing makes precision components in Fresno. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 201 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
