Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Detroit, MI)

Stonegate Hollow Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Detroit with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
