Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Des Moines, IA)

Amberfield Nest Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Des Moines, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
