Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Dallas, TX)

Fernwood Cross Foods Partners produces packaged foods at its Dallas plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
