Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Chicago, IL)

Rivermark Ivory Freight is a Chicago logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
