Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Glen Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Chicago. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for safety inspections and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with supply orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
