Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Birmingham, AL)

Bright Rook Manufacturing Group is a Birmingham manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
