Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Austin, TX)

Redstone Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Austin area. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for pipe repairs and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
