Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Beacon Water Authority is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on scheduling and capacity for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
