Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Virginia Beach, VA)

Rivermark Granite Water Authority Partners supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Virginia Beach and nearby communities. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of about 726 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for pipe repairs and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
