Operations Manager - scheduling and capacity (Tampa, FL)

Bright Drift Foods produces packaged foods at its Tampa plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on scheduling and capacity. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
